Avelin | Square-Toe Stretch Ankle Boots

These are really nice ankle boots for being faux leather. They have the chunky 3-inch block heel and the square toe which I really like, it is very modern. These are really cute booties. I typically wear an 8 1/2 in all my shoes but sometimes I wear a 9 in dress shoes and these are a little snug on me so I would definitely need a size 9 in these the shaft is a little bit slim as well. They have a really nice arch and detail design on the sides. The zipper functions well these are just really nice ankle boots very versatile you could dress them up or dress them down. I love the square toe with bootleg jeans. I would definitely re-order these and even in a different color. The black has a little bit of shine to it, but not bad. These are a great value because they're good quality and easy to walk in because of the chunky block heel more stability on your feet. Gives you height but not makes you feel unsteady in heels. I recommend these! Accurate product!

These are some very good looking boots for just $40. I typically get a size 8 in dress shoes and boots. I got these in an 8 and they fit perfectly. They are extremely comfortable. The block heel is easy to walk in and the cushioning inside makes these comfortable enough to wear all day. The faux leather is high quality and the squared toe and dark brown color are super on trend for this season. I know I will be wearing these alot this fall. They go with everything.

I ordered my usual size 9.5 and they fit well, with a bit of extra room in the toe. I have several pairs of shoes from this brand because they always have incredible cushion at the ball and heel. These boots have good cushion at the heel, but are not as cushioned at the ball of the foot as I've gotten used to from this brand. I'll likely add an insert myself. The faux leather is soft and feels well made. I anticipate wearing these with everything this fall/winter... pants, skirts, dresses... casual or dressed up for parties.

These are perfectly fine ankle boots. They look pretty much like the listing photos, and the brown color and square toe give them a nice clean, slightly retro look. The side zipper works smoothly and makes them easy to get on and off.

The chunky heel feels reasonably stable, and I like the wider square toe compared with a more pointed boot. The sole does have some texture for traction, although I wouldn't describe it as especially substantial. The faux leather is also about what I expected at this price point. It looks decent, but nobody is going to mistake these for an expensive pair of leather boots.

Fit and comfort are fine, construction seems fine, and overall there's really nothing wrong with them. They're just not a pair of shoes that particularly wowed me. If you like the style and want an inexpensive brown ankle boot, these do the job.

These ankle boots are very cute and perfect for the fall weather. Ok first I want to make it VERY KNOWN THAT I FITORY! I have more FITORY boots, heels and flats than I can list. This is my first pair of FITORY shoes that I didn't rate 5 stars.
First let's talk about the pro's. They're gorgeous, obviously. I ordered the chocolate color because I didn't have any ankle booties in this color and this color is very versatile!
I LOVE the chunky heel on these! They're 3 inches high, which is great for me because I'm 4'11" and can always use a boost in height. I don't go for skinny heels but I LOVE a chunky heel! Especially when the heel height is 3" and up. I can walk completely normal in these and not look like a baby giraffe learning to walk
The zipper on the sides are smooth and snag free, always important!
These just look really good! They're perfect for Fall and can be worn a million and one different ways! With ANY type of jeans, skirts, dresses, maxi, midi and short! Same with skirts. I have nothing negative to say about the look of these.
Ok so here's what the issue is. These are made very small. I wear a 6 and 6.5 in this brand, sizing has NEVER been an issue for me with this brand. Just last week I got a pair of FITORY heels in a size 6 that fit perfectly with room to spare. I never expected a 6.5 to be tight on me, when I order 6.5's it's to have some extra room for thick winter socks but these are actually tight on me. I'm still going to wear them but not to anywhere that requires a lot of walking. They're not only tight on my foot but even on my calves. On the models you see how there's gaps between the booties and their legs? Not on me, my calves look like a busted can of biscuits I think I'm in shock, y'all. This brand has never been too small for me, it's totally blown my mind.
I'd still recommend these though because they are good quality and gorgeous. Just SIZE UP at least a half a size, if not a full size.

What to know:
1) Yes, I unfortunately have a bunion. If you are like me, you will be happy to hear that the top part of these boots is flexible, has some wiggle room. They are not only wide enough that I can actually wear them, but also far more comfortable than boots that are hard on the top. I posted a video with this review to show that.
2) These boots have a 3 inch heel which is wide and sturdy.
3) The zipper functions properly and is well-made.
4) The bottom of the boots does have grip, which is great. I do not slip and fall when I wear them in rain or snow.
5) The ankle part of the boots has some stretch too. I have thinner ankles and they are about 1/2 an inch loose on my ankle, which is normal for me. However, if you have wider ankles, these boots should work even better for you. The fact that they are more fabric like with a little stretch at the top is very accommodating.

For reference, I ordered them in women's size 7.5. I typically order size 7, but with boots, I always size up, due to my bunion. They fit great and I am very happy with them. They are comfortable to wear, well made, and overall great boots! I hope this review helps you decide if they are right for you. Happy shopping, friends!

I've been trying on a lot of boots lately, and these are just okay for me. I had them standing either boot shapers in them for a few days and there's still more slouch at the ankle than I was hoping for. These are the only ankle boots I've come across with any slouch at all. For someone else, that might be what you're looking for, but I have too many comparisons to put these at the top.

The material is on the thin side and is definitely soft. I'd say that there is no support coming from the fabric of the boot, and that it has a cheap look to it. It's shiny, thin, and slouchy. If even one of those traits was different, I think the whole boot would look better.

The outsoles are pretty flexible, so that's great for anyone who wants a boot that moves with your foot. The zipper makes it possible to get them on, especially since the fit is snug at the top. Not a good fit for wide calves or ankles.

The style is nice, but it's not supported by the choice of materials in my opinion. Especially when compared to other ankle boots I have in the closet, these are just okay.

Only taking off 1 star because the glue job could be cleaner. If you look close it's a bit of a messy job, but from a distance it looks perfectly fine! These boots are really cute and very comfortable. The sizing is great as well, I got my true size 7 and they fit perfectly. Usually with boots you need to size up, but these fit like a glove. Quality is great and the heel is a great height to dress up or down. I love the basic design but it still being an elevated heel. This is going to be my favorite pair for fall and I can't wait to wear them more! Overall love them!

I ordered these boots in my usual size seven and they are true to size. They are much higher than I expected them to be. The chunky block heel is quite substantial and I don't find them to be crazy comfortable. They won't be every day go to type of boots for me because they are so high. I would be more likely to wear these on occasion when I need to kick it up a notch. They kind of rubbed my ankle wrong when first trying them on for only like ten minutes so I do wonder if this could be a problem for prolonged wear or if they need a bit of a break in period. I like the color because it is a good neutral that goes with everything.

I made it official and created a FITORY section in my shoe closet. This is my seventh pair of footwear from them and all but one have received high ratings.
Knowing these have a higher heel and my foot would slide forward, I ordered these in a size 11 in brown. If I wouldn't have known these are faux leather, I wouldn't have known. They are buttery soft and look like the real thing. I love that Fitory packed these not only in a shoebox, but also protected them with tissue paper and foam around each boot and on the inside for shaping. Details matter.
The Zipper lets me slide these on without hassle and they fit tight enough around the ankle that I feel I have a lot of support. The insole is cushioned which makes these comfortable for all day wear and the square toe box doesn't make my tootsies feel pinched. There is good arch support as well.
The heel is chunky, wider on the bottom than the top and has a stacked look. Very comfortable to wear and I don't wear a lot of heels.
Pair them with jeans or dressy work pants and you are all set for Fall.
I have no problem paying the $53.99 price for something of this quality.

I'm finally getting the hint that, with this particular brand, I need to go up half a size. I recommend you do the same. While they aren't painfully tight, they're a little more snug than is fully comfortable, especially once paired with socks.

That said, I do like these boots and hope, with time and some gentle stretching, I can get them to become comfy.

The heels on these are fairly high but the chunky heel gives them plenty of stability. And while there's almost no tread on the soles, they're grippy enough to prevent slipping. I tried them on my vinyl flooring and they didn't slip at all.

They look nice, too. They obviously aren't real leather but look and feel close enough. The shape is attractive. They fit narrowly to the ankle and end a couple of inches above it. You can pair them with jeans, leggings, skirts or dresses. I'll probably wear them under straight legged jeans.

Since it took a bit of wiggle to get these on, I'm glad they come with zippers, rather than being pull on. The narrowness of the shafts would have made them really hard to get on.
